For some reason (perhaps Dusit wanting to get to Metrotown before they closed to pick up Mario Kart Double Dash) we didn't get our banana fritters at Lhy Thai, but went to Dairy Queen after dinner for ice cream.

Playing in the snow on Cypress

Michael, Deb, and I drove up Cypress to play in the snow. It was a good thing we brought Kat's orange disc; we never would have been able to find white ones. First, we tried tossing near the parking lot, but were told to go on the other side of the fence because it was a ski area. The fence was not quite parallel with the parking lot, so we went to the space beside the parking lot, but that wasn't acceptable either. Ski areas are such poor uses of snow... We ended up going up the trail a bit, and going off the trail to toss. However, the snow was pretty deep, and we were trying to chase the disc with the snow up to our thighs. It was pretty tough, so eventually we gave up and hiked the trail to the sign marking the end of trail maintenance.

Cocktail Party 2003

The cocktail party was held at the Asher, Dima, Dustin, Reid, Richard household this year with the departure of Alex to Toronto. Of course, he still made a guest appearance along with Paul and Dave.
