Katie invited Dusit, Lavina, and me to her mom's place for Christmas. She had gone over earlier, and the three of us joined her Saturday.
I met Dusit downtown at the bus stop on Christmas morning. For whatever reason, he decided that it was necessary to bring his Hubba Hubba and thermarest. We wondered where Lavina was, but found her on the bus we decided upon in order to catch the 12:30 ferry. We taught her how to play Munchkin on the ride over.

Katie picked us up in Nanaimo, and we hung around the house all afternoon, playing with Spatz as well as a game of Munchkin.

We had turkey dinner with Lynne and Serge. After dinner, we went downstairs and played Pictionary. Then we made up our own clues with such classics as "special needs".

As Dusit passed out on the couch in the morning, an assortment of gift wrappings and product packagings was carefully placed upon him.

There was just enough room in the kitchen to play with the hula hoop.

Katie drove us to Pipers Lagoon Park. We went for a walk, tossed a frisbee, made Dusit fetch the disc when it rolled down an escarpment, and played some hackey sack in the wet drizzly weather.

Back at Katie's, we learned to play speed Scrabble (and as with any sort of Scrabble type game, Dusit makes words up, although once in a while he does get lucky and wins himself a batch of cupcakes from betting on mir as a word).

We packed some turkey sandwiches, and Katie dropped us off for the 7pm ferry. In the game of Munchkin on the ferry, Dusit found himself at odds with the Hopping Vampire. Lavina offered to help for no treasures if, from then on, Dusit started calling the card the Hopping Wampire. (Dusit, of course, refused and suffered the bad stuff.)
We decided to watch some 24 at Dusit's. Since my place was easier to get to by bus than his, he came with me and we drove over from here while Lavina went home first. While I took a quick shower, Cyn dropped by to work on building a computer for her mom. We abandoned her to go meet Lavina, and ended up watching all four episodes of Season 1 on the first DVD.
Go back to some of my other pictures.
